Sometimes we are incapable of "making ourselves one" because our heart is already preoccupied with its own problems, concerns and agendas.
It is absolutely necessary to remove and eliminate everything that fills our mind and heart. Yes we have to "cut away" in order to be more open, more disposed to love. We must "do some pruning" in order to love better. Chiara Lubich
